Washing & Care: Keeping Every Gloopie Fresh

Your Gloopie is made to be loved and that means it may need a clean from time to time. Follow these steps to keep the fabric soft and the printed details looking their best.

1. Spot Cleaning (Recommended for Regular Care)

For light marks or surface dirt:

  • Use a soft cloth and lukewarm water with a small amount of mild detergent.
  • Gently dab the area – do not scrub, as this may fade or damage printed details.
  • Leave to air dry naturally.

2. Machine Washing (Occasional Deep Clean)

When a full wash is needed:

  • Place your Gloopie in a mesh laundry bag or pillowcase for protection.
  • Wash on a Cold (max 30 degrees), Delicate cycle using a mild, colour-safe detergent.
  • Do not use bleach or fabric softener (2-in-1 detergent works the best) – these can affect fabric softness and print quality.

3. Drying the Right Way

  • Air dry only. Lay flat in a well-ventilated area.
  • Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent fading of printed features.
  • Do not tumble dry – heat can distort the plush shape and damage the fabric.

Once fully dry, gently reshape and fluff your Gloopie to restore its original form.

Storage & Longevity

To keep your Gloopies looking and feeling their best:

  • Store in a dry, breathable space – avoid sealed plastic containers.
  • Do not compress for long periods, as this can flatten the plush pile.
  • If on display, keep away from prolonged direct sunlight to preserve colour vibrancy.
